• No it does not need WiFi to to work. You only need the WiFi if you would like to have the luxury of controlling the DEEBOT from your phone using the ECOVACSHOME application or Alexa device.

• You don't need wifi to turn it on, you can turn the vacuum on by pressing the auto button. But you won't be able to use the vacuum if your away from home.
