Yes but the brush easily pops out and they give you a tool to easily slice through it so it's not difficult. If you don't have pets that probably doesn't have to be done often.

Yes. Also emptying out tray and wiping down sensors and filter. If you do all of the above after every use this DEEBOT will be on great conditions for a long time.
