In regards to question #1 for voice command of specific rooms... I just tested it and it works, but it is limited. It can only voice command clean pre-determined labels (you cannot custom label a room) that you set through the app for areas of your home. Those labels are currently: kitchen, living room, dining room, bedroom, study, bathroom, laundry, lounge, storeroom, sun room, kids room. "Hey Google, tell deebot to clean the kitchen" successfully sent the vacuum to clean the kitchen only. What I don't know is what will happen if you have more than one bedroom or bathroom that you want to send it to. Alexa seems to have a more robust command library, but I don't have an Alexa to test it out with.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1. I'm not sure, I haven't tried. Rooms are labeled, so it could be possible... 2. Yes 3. It has 4 modes. Quiet (~200pa), Normal (600pa), Max (1200pa), and Max+ (1500pa). pa = Pascals
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Iv also tried this and it indeed works, I mainly tell deebot to clean the kitchen and dining room. If you are clear, consice and quick you can also get it to clean two rooms at once! Eg, "hay google... tell deebot to clean the kitchen and dining room." Then google will report back "ok sending deebot to clean the kitchen, and dining room" If not sure if it always follows that order in which you command it, if never thought to test that untill now. Because there is an issue which I will now get to. Currently I can't even test that because there seems to be a bug with multi maps. When you switch rooms and switch back, deebot or google then bug out and then google just reports back, "sorry couldn't reach ecovacs". I have gotten it to fix the bug by creating a third map... not a saved map, but the live map deebot currently works with...(this is done automatically by the app when deebot doesnt recognise the are it is in currently, and tries to map again ready to save a new map to file). When this happened I deleted the old bottom floor map... And when it saved the third live map as the second map to file (because it can only store 2 maps to file) it then started to operate as desired again, cleaning specific rooms by voice. You can obviously manipulate this to happen sometimes by putting something large in the room like a cardboard box, or move a bit of furniture to trick deebot into thinking it's in a new environment. Then move it back before it's finished hoping it won't recognise the room and revert the map back, half way through the clean...which it will do, quiet effectively. Or you can just reset the robot and map again, which also appears to work. But afterwards don't multi map! it breaks it everytime. I live in Aus where, just incase ppl were thinking it doesn't work here...it does. Sometimes extra hidden features are specific to a region....for clarification. Hope this helps users with this fantastic robot..had mine for almost a year and apart from the Auto in not emptying all the time and getting jammed, that voice control issue I mentioned, and maybe the fact that the image avoidance system isn't quite what it seems like in the marketing material (but let's face it, what product ever lives up to that expectation?) Its a great robot! Have a small dog and it Handel's the hair ok, granted she doesn't malt much, Handel's the terrain ok, navigates ok, quiet enough, doesn't peeess off the dog at all (which was surprising giving she hated the regular vacuums) and functions generally.. better than my sceptical reasoning would allow giving my understanding of the level of sophistication in current consumer tech....and I haven't had any other issues that I haven't mentioned and you could get from almost any YouTube vid on it. And technically the main issue isn't actually an issue because ecovacs hasnt actually mentioned anywhere that this feature exists, nor google....at least this model anyway. If anyone can offer any more insite please post it here, sadly I can't find and forum that mentions this that isn't already locked...shame to see such an awesome feature go to waste. I'll follow this post to help answer any more questions I can answer since I can't find any other information about this anywhere else lol. I would also love to engage with someone about home assistant integrations and configurations with deebot (I'm a newb in need :p) And for everyone else, just another jem for you guys to investigate in the wonderful world of home automation. Peace out ✌️
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1.) Yes, you can use voice control send it to a specific room as long as that room has a unique label (there are a limited set of options). Otherwise, you'd just need to use the app and select "Area clean" 2.) Yes 3.) The T8+ refers to the vacuum and the self-emptying station, so there's no difference between this product and the T8 on it's own. When compared to other vacuums however, the T8 itself has the same vacuuming performance as the Roborox S7 but better sensor array from the reviews I've seen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure on Google voice. I was under the assumption it WOULD work with Google home, but I looked in the app to try and add this to my setup, and I couldn't find it or figure it out. Maybe worth emailing google on this specific question to see if it's compatible. But what I can answer, is the question on suction power. It has 4 options in the app. A standard low suction, medium, high and turbo. You can choose from the app which speed you want. It also auto increases its suction power on its own when it goes up onto carpet which is nice.
