Both are routers so duplicate the routing services of each other. The Time Capsule also includes a hard drive for Apple’s backup service. You could connect both to a modem and have two different networks if you wish, but there is no advantage to connecting the Time Capsule to the eero network nor vice versa.

We just installed one and I was having a setup issue, I called and was walked through the process. Everything was done and dusted in less than ten minutes. My eero purchase was the best decision.
