Customers are pleased with the ease of use, coverage, and setup of the Pro Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System. Many appreciate the improved range, performance, and signal strength, resulting in a better overall experience. However, some customers find the price to be expensive, and a few have noted that the units can get warm. While some buffering issues were reported previously, the system largely resolves these problems for most users.

Great WiFi system

I purchased this WiFi mesh system because I was consistently losing WiFi connections with my smart devices and laptops. I have a 2000 square foot home 2 stories with over 80% of the home connected with Z-wave, Zigee, and WiFi smart switches and outlets and Amazon Alexas in each room. I have my WiFi system loaded. Since I purchased this item I have had consistent WiFi coverage throughout the upstairs and downstairs. The software if very easy to use even when I not at home. I can monitor connection and check internet speed which remains consistent. I got the Pro Mesh System so I have 3 units and each unit has 2 ethernet ports. I connected ethernet switches to the ports and I was able to expand the number to faster wired connections for some of the various wired bridges /hubs I have for some of my smart devices. This has allow me to place some of my bridges/hubs throughout my home so they can have closer connection to their appropriate device. This system works great and I am very happy with the result although the price was steep. I accomplished exactly what I wanted and my home now has consistent connection and excellent coverage. I highly recommend the investment.

Great & easy to setup!! I’m Using Fios Gigabit Conn. and it’s consistent 850/920 Mpbs all day. It automatically switches to 2.4G & 5G. I have my Router in the basement the 1st WiFi extender in the 1st floor and the 2nd WiFi extender in the 2nd floor (2500 sqft. House). It’s a great product for NOW until another great 1 comes along this year and it’s too freakin expensive:(

I replaced a Netgear nighthawk combo modem/router which worked pretty good for speed and coverage but would not reach into corners of garage to connect some smart switches/plugs. For a couple days, I had the eero system connected to the this original modem/router combo (and didn’t even shut down the two 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz WiFi signals from original and eero worked fine. Picked up an Arris Surfboard “modem only” with 3.1 docs for future faster speeds (currently we get 200MB download speed From Mediacom) and connected to the eero Pro wi-fi system. Works great.
While this is an expensive system, the quality of the eero hardware is exceptional. Looks like a product you’d expect from Apple (iPhone, Mac, etc). We use apple HomeKit for home automation, so is pumped I’m the worst-if system ties into Apple HomeKit.
The quality of the app that is used during set up is excellent. Very easy to set up and helps you optimize placement of each of the three Wi-Fi hardware units. I have one on each end of the house and one in the garage and the mesh system works flawlessly.
It’s really great being able to quickly check your Internet and Wi-Fi output on a smart device. The “far away from original modem/router” smart switches and plugs that previously did not work, now work great.
I highly recommend this system.

I am finally getting the speed and coverage expected! I upgraded from multiple ASUS RT-AC3100s, which have mesh technology too, but for whatever reason, we still experienced inconsistent wifi signal. We still get an occasional low reading, but I've been told that's the device (iPhone) I'm using.
The set-up is easy. The app is ok, suits my needs a homeowner. Most important, my kids no longer complain when on their Playstation or watching movies! Not cheap, but worth it. Overall, very pleased.

Just installed this yesterday, the instructions were correct, it literally too less than 10 minutes to get my kid back in his room to continue Gaming. I replaced my old Apple Airport network with the EERO.
The reach needed is amazing since my wife is working from home in the Garage... it's a nice garage I swear. The Garage is detached from the house, and this newer tech is quite seamless.
I was also able to reincorporate my Apple AirPort Express wirelessly back into my new network so I can use it as an AirPlay hub for music. Would be nice if there was a Browser interface for setup and configuration of this system, but so far it works better than expected.
Speedtests used to be 12 Mbps down in the garage in perfect conditions. now its between 80 and 150.
This has also speed up the quality and connections of the lights, security cameras and Automation, like using voice commands to open the garage and set th thermostat.

First of all wifi speed improved significantly.
Second, I have wifi in all areas, garage, pool, front and back yard, everywhere.
Third, the software allows me to control my kids. You create profiles where internet will be paused according to the schedule you decide. You can pause devices any time as well.
Last but not least super easy installation and user friendly app.
I have recommended it to many friends and we all are happy. I purchased this on 2018 and no complains so far.

This Mesh Router System is a BEAST!

After extensive research, I went with this Mesh Router System. Less than 2 years earlier, I purchased a Linksys Velop, dual band mesh router system (2 nodes). I should be able to download 700mbps through xfinity. The day before I purchased my Eero pro system, I was only pulling down 70mbps (it was dying). Obtaining a DHCP lease from my Xbox and Ecobee was nearly impossible. I should have gotten a few more years out of it. I’ll never go Linksys again.
The app on the eero system is MUCH better. The Linksys App was duplicating my devices. I can group my devices associated with my kids. I no longer need my Disney Circle to pause connectivity with my children. I think my only gripe is Eero wants me to pay for ad blocking, and spyware tracking. It just provides stats without any detail. I am on a month long trial at the moment. Not really worth it in my opinion (no justification for me to pay 2.99 a month). It is a bit pricey, but I had a hundred bucks in coupons from BB and NewEgg had it listed for 40 bucks cheaper. BB matched the price, so do some price comparisons before purchasing.
My wife originally balked at the pricing. Now, she sings it’s praises. I can easily pull up my ring cams without the wait I had with my Linksys Velop. You won’t be disappointed with this system!!

Best Mesh System

The Eero system is by far the best wifi system on the market.
Originally I had a Nighthawk and had to run ethernet cables through the attic to hard wire my gaming devices in other rooms. Had issues with it not doing well with Netflix, (even though I have 950mpbs with Spectrum) so I decided to upgrade my router.
Then, I tried my first mesh system which was ORBI.
With a mesh system, I realized I could get rid of all the ethernet cables that I had run in the attic, and just get a couple 8 ft Ethernet cables to run from each Orbi pod to the laptop or console.
Orbi worked fine for a bit but then had an update and kept crashing/dropping during some important ranked games which upset myself and the other gamers in my home.
Since I did my final upgrade to the Eero pro wifi system, I haven’t had an issue at all. The signal has been optimized and the connection hasn’t ever dropped (only during updates or system changes).
I have recommended the Eero system to other friends and family, due to the fact that it hasn’t failed me during my whole experience and pretty much guarantees that if I have an issue (red light on the Eero pod) that it would be my internet provider and not the Eero equipment.

I recently moved to a new house that is 3,300 sq ft. and had an Apple Time Capsule on one side of the house and an Apple Express on the other side, hardwired. I was not getting much speed an many rooms had bad coverage.
I then tried NETGEAR - Orbi AC1200 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System but set up seemed weird and even though it says it's for a 4,500 sq ft house, it was not working as expected.
I returned that and then bought the eero Pro and...wow! Now I get super fast internet everywhere around the house...
Things that I also love about this product are:
- it can be "meshed" or hardwired (I have 1 hardwired and 1 meshed).
- the app is excellent. Every time a new device connects to your network it notifies you, you can name it, assign it to a profile (person in the house), and add safe filters to a profile (such a violent, adult, illegal or criminal.
- this is ridiculous but what about being able to turn off the light of the router from the app. Well, you can! And trust me, if you have one of these guys in your bedroom you will want to use this feature.

The Eero Pro v2 3pk is a keeper after my first mesh attempt with a Linksys Velop setup that seemed to drop connections. Not a cheap setup..at $399 on sale...but totally worth it for me. Easy set up and great performance. In the family room, I was getting 45-50mbps (on 200mbps service) with the single Spectrum gateway. I now get 150+...and sometimes Max it out. My Xbox and streamer are hardwired to the nodes...so we get great performance there too. Zero complaints...superb product.

The app is great and simple to use. It makes it very easy to setup. The app is great.
What’s even better is the performance of the eero. I was unable to get WiFi in an upstairs bedroom. Now I’m getting max WiFi speeds (I pay for 250mbps) in room where I had nothing. It is a little high on price but it’s 100% worth it.

I live in an old 4700 sq. ft. house that has thick plaster and metal lathe behind all the walls so I got so tired of having multiple routers throughout my home and the struggle of trying to hide ethernet cords. I bought the eero pro, and subsequently one additional eero pro and one becon, and the internet works exceptionally well now! Awesome product, 100% recommend.

I had the nighthawk 8500 with a mesh extender , but kept losing signal at far end of two story 4300 sq ft house. I had the geek squad guys come over to fix it. However they told me the nighthawk is not a good mesh network. They told me to just get the Eero pro, which I did. No more loss signal. Great deal when the price was discounted to $400. For presidents week sale. I love this system. So easy to set up and great range. I dropped the 400mb speed from spectrum down to 100mb and see no difference. This is the way to go if you have a big house.

My son started complaining about being kicked off his Xbox One when playing online. Keep losing wifi or not enough speed. So I bought a high boost/high range router but couldn't get it to work. To that back and picked up this system. With this system it came with 3 boxes. I hard wired the 1st box to the router in the basement, put the second one on the main level, then the 3rd box is in my sons room and hard wired to his Xbox One. Since then he has had no issues. You can wire up to each box for internet or use the wifi.
So now we use the comcast wifi for our home network and use the eero network for all of our phones, tablets, gaming & guest use.
Highly recommend buying this system if your having wifi strength issues!
Also you download an app in which you can monitor which devices are the most data etc. Can even do restrictions and turn off times for the little ones (devices) that want to play online all night!
