“How do I know if I need the eero 3 pack or the eero plus 2 beacons? Do the beacons work as well as the eero? I live in an old house with 4 floors, including the basement where the modem is and want to be able to have great service on all 3 upper floors.”

You would probably want the pro system. The beacons connect to the main hub unit for connection. Where as the pros all connect via satellite and relay signal throughout the home
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a 3 story which includes the basement. I have 2 eeros on the main (middle) floor which covers the top floor and the basement. I do have a 3rd eero on the top floor but I never see any devices connected to it so I think the 2 would have been fine. I would say you can get away with 3.
