“The Epson Team can not seem to agree on maximum weight of paper! Does anyone know true answer? At $400, I would hope 3850 could at least do 28 lb quality paper, but according to Kevin/Epson, only 27 lb. Yet the 4850 can do 52 lb according to Mark/Epson.”

Hello ConfusedSMax. The ET-3850 and ET-4850 can print on supported Epson media such as Epson Premium Photo Paper Glossy that weighs 79 lb. The 27 lb paper specification is listed for printing on plain paper. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
