A:AnswerThe question was "will this scanner scan both sides using its automatic document feeder." Just because it has an ADF and can p-r-i-n-t two-sided, does not mean it will SCAN both sides of a document in ADF mode. I got burned on this issue with the ET-3760 which I was led to believe did double sided scanning thru its ADF and it DOES NOT.
A:AnswerHello TC. The main difference between both printers is that the ET-3850 includes an auto document feeder. This allows you to load up to 30 plain paper pages and scan multi-page documents more efficiently. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerHello gottaprintnow. The ET-3850 has a low ink alert system, so you want to try and refill the ink tanks once the ink is below the lower line. This will help maintain the accuracy of the system to help read levels correctly. You want to avoid waiting until the tank is empty as continued usage could damage the product. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A:AnswerYes, you are correct, if maximum resolution is selected. But, it may not always be noticeably sharper to print in 5760 x 1440 vs 4800 x 1200. This kind of differential tends to be more noticeable with photos and graphics. But, this printer is NOT a photo printer. It's also NOT an enhanced paper-size printer. So, with standard size text, in my opinion, the maximum resolution differences with the two printers, ET-3850 and ET-2850 may not be appreciable to the naked eye.

A:AnswerHi Chicken, The EcoTank Et-3850 can print on envelopes. There is a preset in the printer driver for No. 10 size envelopes. To print on other envelope sizes, you can create a user-defined setting. Creating a user-defined setting is a simple one-time operation. Your setting will be saved for future use. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
