More than you would want. There are 4 digits for page numbering, so that may mean 9999, but you would never want that many. You can give the file(s) a starting page number and base filename. You can scan all the images into one file or into a separate filename for each image. It scans from the glass, or auto feeds one side or two sided. I scanned a 300 page songbook I had taken apart in duplex mode and put each page is a separate file.
