“It says the minimum working temp is -4* F. So my question is what do you do in the winter? I live in Wisconsin and some of these last few winters it’s gotten to -40* F with windchill! Are you supposed to bring them in during the winter and have nothing?”

For a short time at that temperature they are fine the problem is long exposure. 4, 5, 7 days at that temp, which from what I gather can happen in Wisconsin, is detrimental to most electronics. The main issue is the battery. It will essentially do that same thing that one in your car does at those temps. Save your money and bring them in. I would also suggest a quick mount that you can find on specialty sites so that you do not have to unscrew from the house but more easy to remove and put back in place. They have gutter mounts, screw mounts that attach to your vinyl siding and depending on your camera, magnetic mounts. Take care.
