The quality of the video would be better if the light comes on. Just do not install the camera next to your flood light, keep a little distance. And do not install the camera directly opposite the flood light to avoid that you can only see light in the video recorded.

Please try again later.It will actually be better that way because you can shut off night vision on camera and when the flood lights come on the footage will look much better because of the lights.. will be ok most normal looking compared to the washed out black and white if the night vision..
