No service needed, just connect it to your phone. Have not attempted to use it as a wrist watch, just use Bluetooth to connect it to your phone and u will be set!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It works via bluetooth through your phone as far as keeping your exercise and heart rate stats. I'm not sure if the watch works without connecting to bluetooth.
