• Doubt it. If Asus is paying attention, 2nd gen ought to be around the corner. And no, the RAM isn't designed to be replaced.

• Not sure, but I wanted that model too, unfortunately Best Buy didn't have it. In my case the 4-gig model may be overkill anyway, as I don't keep oodles of tabs open and play videos, etc. Read all the reviews from the Computer web-sites to see if you really need the 4-gig model. I determined that I didn't.

• The laptop has a port that can be used for storage or playing other programs with a jump drive, I think it has a port for an SD card also.
