what side is the cord on and is it real noisy null

Hey, ladybug! The plug on the model you selected is located on the bottom left-hand side when facing the unit. The decibel rating is 55dB on low cooling and 59dB on high cooling. I hope this helps! ~Courtney

It is on the left side and it is very quiet.

Cord's on the A/C's right (your left as you look at it in your window)... no noisier than the Friedrich or Samsung I've had in that window in the past. Surprisingly lightweight unit tho.
