Bought the older 12,000 BTU version of this two years ago for my 26x20 woodworking garage. New one works great in our 16x16 sunroom. Needs this much AC because the side walls are 10’ and then a big pitch up to 16’ vault — made sure to figure that into *cubic foot* rating VS just typical square foot figure. Room has lots of late afternoon exposure. Like that this new one is more efficient. Sound level is pretty low

Moved to this 12,000 btu a/c from a 10.000 btu. It cools much better than my 10,000 did. I like the eco mode which actually shuts the unit down when temp is reached and restarts when it starts warming. My negatives are its somewhat loud and the light from outside shines through the white Styrofoam insulation. Black would have been better. All in all a nice unit with many features. including start/stop timer and temp sensor on the remote

We live in a very hot area. Second story bedroom gets hot with no central air and a flat Comp roof. Got this unit. It works great! Not too loud. Highly recommend this. Also bought 4 year warranty.

Unit cools large space that includes kitchen in drafty house. Only complaint is when unboxing unit large portion of back was pressed in and damaged. Another reason to but the extended warranty.

I purchased this AC for a bonus room that is about 500 square feet and used as a bedroom. In the NC summer's it gets very hot in that room and the old AC unit wasn't cutting it anymore. I purchased this unit and have been very happy with it. The air coming out is cold. The unit is quieter than any of the previous units I have had. The controls and install are both very straightforward. I set it on 77 in eco mode and let it do its thing. My *only* complaint is the remote. You have to hit a button to tell the remote to work with the AC unit and when you do that it changes the set thermostat temperature to 76 degrees. I don't care what temperature you had it set at, it changes it to 76 degrees. There is also a latency in the remote, so you can end up hitting the button more times than you need. I really don't use the remote at all because I don't like the way it works.

I love in a 1400 sq ft ranch and needed a replacement for an of 14,000 btu window unit. Not only is this 12,000 unit much smaller and lighter than my old one, it definitely is keeping my house cooler. Definitely cold on the side of the house it is on and surprisingly cool on the other end of the house. (No need for an additional unit). Would definitely recommend buying.

After sweltering last year during our first summer in our newly-purchased home, my wife and I knew we needed a strong air conditioner for the downstairs (living room, kitchen, and bathroom). Since the insulation is rather lacking (didn't realize that when we bought the place), it's freezing cold in the winter and a sauna in summer. 12,000 BTU was probably a bit of overkill, but even so...this unit is INCREDIBLE! Within a few minutes, we can feel the cold air in the far corner of the kitchen. In fact, if I had any negative comment to make, it's that it works TOO well and can be excessively cold at times. As for the noise level, yeah it's on the louder side, but it doesn't really bother us too much.

Great ac fulfilled my expectations for my bedroom. Needed a new one my old unit died last day of needed use last year. I had purchased a Frigidaire unit over a year ago for my living room and loved it. Very cold air noise level not bad. The autosensing feature is great which helps save on the electric bill. I did not need a Wifi unit as long as I have my remote I am more than satisfied. It is a very nice looking unit and was very happy with the installation by Best Buy.

This is my second Frigidaire ac that I purchased. This one replaced an older Kenmore unit that worked well but got rather too loud over time. This unit is so quiet I sometimes forget it is running. Efficiently and effectively cools a relatively 'open space apartment with large dining and living areas and a full kitchen. Stylish look and great price. Very happy with this purchase!

I purchased this air conditioner during a heat wave for my elderly parents' living room, which has an open floor plan and a cathedral ceiling. Even though it is rated to barely handle the space, it seems to be working well and keeping them comfortable. It is in a window next to their recliners, and is still quiet enough for them to carry on a conversation. It was very straightforward to install (with 2 people - it is heavy).

I used this produce in as smaller room 170 sqft. This Ac keeps that room ice cold, lowers the the temperature in minutes. The remote control also reads the room temperature, pretty cool feature. Once the room reads the desire temperature there is a feature on the unit eco use. Pretty much turning off the unit allowing you to conserve energy. I love it! Should seriously consider this product.

Cools down the rooms quickly, and has all the nice features; timer to delay start or shut down, remote sensing, auto fan, etc. The only issues I have are, the low speed fan makes a droning low frequency sound which is very annoying and the directional louvers are so limited they don't really do anything. On the plus side, it mounted in my window in a matter of minutes; way easier than my last unit and the cooling power is great. So I just run it on medium speed and don't sit directly in front of it.

We have about 750 sq ft of open concept floor space, but only 7 ft ceilings with sloped sidewalls in our A-frame, so I did the calculations on cubic feet rather than square feet to settle on this 12k BTU unit. Installation took a while, but I was doing it by myself and am a bit of a perfectionist, so I was taking my time. The nice part was that EVERYTHING was included in the box, including foam and insulation boards to block light and unwanted air/bug exchange. As far as operation, this machine is keeping up with the heat and has proven itself to be quieter and smoother than the old one that died last year. Using it with the assistance of a box fan to push air "around the corner" of the L-shaped open concept area and the whole floor is very comfortable. Time will tell about durability and efficiency (I'm still waiting on that first electric bill ...), but for now, I am impressed and pleased with this purchase!

This air conditioner handles the whole attic of our cape cod. It is heavy and took two people to get it in the window correctly. Because of its weight, I used an external support bracket. It was easy to install and runs quiet. I would purchase this item again if I had the need.

I have had several different window AC units of this size and rough volume capacity over the last decade. This one definitely blows the most cold air and does an excellent job of cooling, while being the second loudest unit I have had. Great for cooling down the room, but, you wouldn't want to sit too close to it for too long. Fits easily into place and has extra padding and such for securing it in and filling gaps. Simple to understand buttons on the face of it, but the remote control is a bit fickle and takes a bit of understanding as to how it works.

Best Buy’s website said this open box item was in like new condition and had all its parts. In fact, it was dented and missing a crucial part. Without that part (the top rail), the AC unit could not be installed in the window. I first contacted Best Buy in person. The customer service agent said they had no parts on hand. So I asked her to reach out to the manufacturer. Her response, “Unfortunately, that is not something we would do. That is something you would do.” I’d have returned the item if it didn’t weigh 70 pounds. Instead, I called the manufacturer and asked for the missing part. Frigidaire was excellent to deal with; it promptly sent the part, which arrived in about 10 days. And the AC unit works well. But Best Buy’s behavior has made me swear off open box items, since I cannot trust its evaluation of the item and cannot depend on BB to solve any problem that arises. BB did give me a 10% credit, but I could have paid less if I’d chosen an item that said parts were missing. I wanted what I thought I was purchasing—an AC unit in like new condition with all its parts.

WOW! That's all I can say. I bought this for a 525sf 1 BR apt right before the 110 degree weather and what a Godsend! It didn't miss a beat, kept the place cold, not cool. I was suspect if a windowed ac facing SW and normally the place gets hot when there are consecutive hot days but there was no problem with this AC. It's quiet enough for an ac but man do I feel spoiled HAHA. I have not received a bill since I got it but keeping my 525sf place frozen if I want is worth it for the summer months.

This Frigidaire air conditioner has been everything we expected and more. Runs quiet (a subjective assessment I know but it more than meets our expectations), cools the area we need it to quickly, provides an easy to understand remote that also serves as a thermostat. Installation to replace a wall unit was a bit more complicated than the YouTube videos suggest but not too challenging. Just realize we have had this air conditioner for less than a month so we cannot speak to its sturdiness over the long haul. But so far it has lived up to its marketing materials. To date, it has handled the job of cooling a 450 sq ft area with ease.
