I live in an average sized Manhattan apartment and I've had 8,000 and 10,000 BTU before - they would often have to work hard to make the room cold on hot days. I've found that this 12,100 BTU model does the job without having to work too hard. It runs fairly quiet and looks nice (It's the first time i've seen a black directional blowers on an air conditioner and i must admit it looks nicer).

Upgraded from older machines to get better cooling and use less electricity. Unit cools better than the old machine, is much quieter and my electric bill showed a huge drop when this replacement was put in

Works great. Absolutely love it. Doesn't make a huge dent on the electric bill and definitely keeps my livingroom really cold. Options are awesome and remote making my lazy life easier lol must have

We have central air on our first floor. Our second floor is now a converted master bedroom which one central air vent. Needless to say in this heat nothing is cooling the room. So we picked up this guy at our local Best Buy. It may be a little loud but at the end of the day it’s no big deal for us. It cools the room fast, strongly, and the remote is a great bonus.

I purchased this AC this past summer when one heat pump zone in my house went out of commission. Eventually the heat pump system was replaced but I had to live without it from May 29th until August 21st. This window unit was a life saver during those weeks. It was easy to install and came with all of the insulating supplies needed to make a good seal around the window that it was installed into. It ran pretty much non stop night and day for those weeks keeping an area of 1400 square feet comfortable enough for my family. I have to give it an excellent rating for working flawlessly that many hours.

We needed some bedroom sized air conditioners for this hot humid summer. these units are quiet and cool the rooms nicely. Eco mode saves energy and this is a nice feature as well.

the unit is easy to install & comes with all the piece & insulation needed. It is fairly quiet & keeps the entire downstairs are cool.

First ac unit purchased was dented in the box. Best Buy quickly made an exchange for me. Unit was easy to install and does a good job cooling. Remote control acts as a thermostat switch and can turn on or off unit automatically.

Unit is quiet enough and cools more than what the standard sq ft area recommended. Remote control is easy to use and program with a temperature display of the room.

This was a really easy install. They have everything you need to do it yourself. I've had it a few weeks now and the noise is not horrible to me as I have read in other reviews. Seems pretty standard for a fan. My box fans I have had are more loud than this unit. We haven't gotten into the really hot days of summer yet. Only one day at 80. And I know it will get into the upper 90's lower 100's later in the summer. So I will return to give a more up to date review if it lets me. But, so far. The 80 degree days have been more than comfortable. My apartment is 525 sq feet and it sits on the hottest corner of my bldg.

This was a replacement of a 12 year old air conditioner- great features - quiet for a window AC - energy efficient - smaller and less heavy then other AC’s

Keeps my studio, which is in the top floor of a brick building, comfortable. Fairly easy to install, though some of the instructions and pictures could be clearer. Energy efficient.

We have an old home with 10 foot ceilings downstairs so we didn't believe a window unit would be able to cool us downstairs. We were wrong! We decided to try one as a neighbor told us one worked decently for them and we are 100% glad that we did. It has made the summer tolerable, as we have had about 3 times the 90 plus degree days that we usually have and add the high humidity and we would have been miserable. So I have been telling anyone I know with an older home to definitely get this air conditioner. It is not too noisy and has worked beautifully!

We need to replace an old air conditioner. This one gives us the cooling capacity we need while being very quiet and energy efficient.

Quieter than my old one, I can barely hear the compressor when it comes on. The only issue I have is the right and left louvers don't work that well. The window I have it mounted in is near a wall on the left hand side and I have the louvers turned all the way to the right but the a lot of the air flow is still going to the left. I have it moved all the way to the right in the window with the accordion mashed. I guess I will have to take it back out and take the accordion out on the right side so I can move it all the way to the right in the window. Also I have to set it on 67 to get it to stay at 72 in the room.

I decided to go with this air conditioner because Frigidaire is a brand I know and trust. I've had this product for over a year now and I am still extremely satisfied! It cools the room within minutes and is powerful enough to cool the entire house within the hour. It is quiet and the timer is a life saver during the warmer summer days. I just set the timer for 30 minutes before my normal arrival time and the room is nice and cold by the time I walk in.
