An A/C should not be sharing a breaker with another large appliance. A light or two, maybe. Another window unit or mini fridge, nope.

That happened to me when I moved into my first home. The air conditioner is very strong and it will shut down the breaker. So what I did is bought another breaker and just connected the A.C to the new breaker box cause it needs its own power.
