  • QuestionHow high does the microwave need to be above the cook top?

    Asked by George786.

    • Answer Bottom of microwave is about 10 inches minimum from stove top. Which I think means from top of microwave to bottom of the top of stove top is 27 inches. Or so. People think it needs to be up on those really high up and smallest cabinet. Not true. It’s way it is written in manual. You measure from bottom of the top cabinet to top of the stove. It’s about 27 or 30 inches. Leaves foot or more over the stove. Legal. I know. I am short. And changed my cabinets up above to use longer ones. So I can use it. Originally these short top cabinets were made to accommodate two oven or combo oven and old fashion big microwave from back in the 70’s. So that is why they made small cabinets.

  • QuestionMy house came with one of these and it's set up to recirculate air. Air is blowing out the top but I can feel that no air is being sucked through the filters at the bottom, how do I fix this

    Asked by Dave.

    • Answer If it’s coming out of top. Where do you think the air is coming from. Not from inside the microwave. It’s coming from the stove under the microwave. I see the stream of steam going towards the vents in bottom. And if it suppose to be coming out of inside the microwave I have no idea how microwave works. I assume fan was there to use over stove. I don’t feel that much fan on the table top models on back. Or side. If it’s connected outside than you would not feel the the wind from the fan up above. It would be venting to outside.

  • QuestionHow quiet is the exhaust fan?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer It isn't. But, it's powerful -- which is what most people want from an exhaust fan. There isn't much difference between the High, Medium, and Low settings either. Ours vents out the top of the microwave, not direct-vented to the wall or attic, which may or may not affect how noisy it is.

  • QuestionAre the control panel buttons lit. If so, when or how are they turned on.

    Asked by Wondering.

    • Answer No they are not back lit. The lettering is printed on the glass, and are touch-sensitive, sort of like a touch screen (not a tactile, click-style button)

  • QuestionDoes this model have a smudge proof finish?

    Asked by nomad.

    • Answer No. In fact I was disappointed with all the fingerprints and smears, etc. Soap and water and my dishcloth just made streaks when it dried. But I eventually found the perfect solution. Please use a soft cloth and a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water. It shines up perfectly. It’s the same solution to clean flat screen TV’s. Put the solution on the cloth, not the appliance/electronic. I do recommend this microwave. Lori (Jeff’s wife)

    Asked by Peach.

    • Answer It is easy to clean if it gets dirty/ finger prints. I use a soft cloth with a vinegar water solution.
