Yes, the Garmin Dash Cam is designed to immediately begin recording video when it is turned on. It will continue to record, overwriting the oldest non-protected videos, until the device is turned off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.What,? No why would it stop recording at impact? I would certainly want to continue recording after an impact because of the ramifications of an at-fault driver leaving the scene etc. would a Garman expert please chime in on this one? Thanks !!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to the manual, it stops recording at the moment of 'impact'. Be it 10 seconds, or 10 minutes, it will have the last 'X' number of minutes of recording, governed by the space available, and how long it's been on. The manual says that the system deletes videos over 3 minutes old, so I assume that the video will be at least 3 minutes long.
