The Dash Cam 45 is always recording, which allows you to easily capture and save any incidents of significance. It also helps you drive safer by using the camera to alert you to moving traffic, risk of forward collision, lane departure, and more. -MH

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It provides evidence in case of an accident or traffic violation. It also takes great videos of fun drives that you can trandfer to your computer or DVD and watch later. When I record crazy stuff I sometime put it on YouTube.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably the most common reason to install a dash camera is to record what actually happened if you're involved in (or witness) an accident. If the camera senses that a collision has occurred, it automatically saves the previous clip (roughly 4 minutes of video), the current clip, and the next clip. This provides 12 minutes (roughly) video of the events that took place just before, during, and after the collision. That way, the next time the drunk pulls out in front of you and then comes to a complete stop, you might not get ticketed for following too closely. You could also use the camera to record portions of your drive such as while on vacation. Or you could send a friend the video showing him exactly where to find the hard-to-find-turnoff to get to your campground. Dash cameras have also captured meteor sighting and other unexpected events. Basically, it captures what's going on in front of your car.
