Yes, the Garmin 45 has the parking mode feature. My vehicle is equipped with an original cigarette lighter outlet which is all ways powered on/hot even when the ignition switch is off so when parked I just leave the camera power cord plugged in and it stays on recording. If your vehicle does not have a constant on power on outlet, Garmin has a wire set available that connects to under-dash vehicle wiring to provide a constant hot supply to a camera.

Well the camera states that it can record in park with the appropriate cable. However, my experience with camera, parking cable, and garmin customer service have been very disappointing.

Yes, it does, but you need the Garmin Dash Cam parking mode accessory cable. It has to be wired into your vehicle so that it was both constant, and switched power, and a good ground (obviously).

It is part number 010-12530-03, and lists for $35.00 on the Garmin website. There may be third party alternatives.
