The included vehicle power cable connects to the side of the dash cam with a Micro USB plug type connection. The output of the vehicle power cable is 4.75-5.25 VDC, 1A. Thanks, James
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's USB, which is 5 volts. The lighter plug has a DC-DC converter in it, so your best bet is a wire-end female lighter socket and power that off of 12 volts. Tie-wrap the plug and socket together, and hide it under the dash.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think you're over thinking this. The camera comes with a 12v plug and you stick that in the 12v outlet in your car. There is no need to direct hardwire it to your mirror. Just simply stick it to the window, plug it in and drive.
