• It only records in the direction it is pointing. If you require rear coverage, you must either purchase two units, one for front, one for rear; or you need to mount the device in the rear window facing out the rear window.

• No it does not record to the rear, only forward. If the guy took off and drove past front of car, it should have recorded that. Plus, depending how hard he “tapped” him, it should have recorded an accident event and auto-saved footage, date, time, speed, location, etc.
