• The magnetic mount does interfere with a car's electronic compass, if the sensor is mounted on the mirror. Most Fords have this type of compass. While the N, S, E or W on the dash may not operate properly, if you have a GPS unit or navigation system, you probably don't need the compass. The navigation will continue to work fine.
