Good questions, yes the Dash Cam 45 offers the ability to record speed. No subscription is required and professional installation is not required. Thanks, James
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm going from memory, but I believe recording your speed is an option available in the settings, and that it is initially set to "off". So if you haven't changed the setting, it wouldn't be saving your speed on the video. No subscription is required. Professional installation is not required. The unit comes with a long power cord, allowing it to be routed out-of-sight in many vehicles. If you're a do-it-yourselfer, or if you don't care if the cable hangs down from the windshield, then you can easily install it yourself. If you decide to do so, the most critical step is placing the adhesive mount onto the windshield. The manual states that it is "extremely difficult" to remove after it is installed.
