Is there night vision capabilities? NO very poor quality at night And face recognition? NO is a DASH CAM not a security camera And could I use this as a security/surveillance camera from my car when it’s parked at night? somewhat, if you get the hardwired kit you can use what is called park mode and it will record motion detected video
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have this dash camera. No where have I read that it has night vision or facial recognition capability. There is an optional accessory to allow it to continue recording after you park the vehicle.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No night vision but video is very clear at night. NO face recognition. If you need surveillance when your car is parked you need to buy a cable adapter that needs to be connected to your cars fuse box.

It also doesn’t have any face recognition capabilities. This model offers Parking Mode. Parking mode monitors your car’s surroundings while your car is parked and the engine is not running. It automatically begins recording if and when motion is detected. (Requires Garmin parking mode cable, sold separately; professional installation recommended.)
