The DriveSmart 65 will need to be powered with the included vehicle power cable connected to the cigarette lighter power port.

It uses a cigarette lighter, but you can buy an attachment that plugs into a 2 pronged AC electrical outlet which can be used at home or in the car if your car has one

This Garmin 65 comes with both a cigarette lighter plug and a USB cable to plug in.
