“Does the entire power cord need to be exposed for antenna to work”

• The power cord is not the antenna. The traffic receiver, not included, does have an antenna about 6" down the cord.

• Yes, for the best reception for the traffic service on the Garmin DriveSmart 65 & Traffic, the cable should be as exposed as possible.
