Can you load topographic maps into this unit null

No, this model comes pre-programmed with street mapping and is not compatible with any type of TOPO or off-road maps. You may want to check out the Garmin Tread® Series, our new rugged, all-terrain navigators with on- and off-road navigation.

I really like the unit how it works but to answer your question not really sure have not had it that long
