No, this particular Garmin tracker doesn't but there are two above this model that do.
I would recommend:

No, the vívofit 2 doesn't get any notifications from smart phones, the vívosmart and vívosmart HR can. ~JH

Yes you and turn off or on alerts from text , calls, Facebook etc
