A: Yes, you actually have to activate the running timer on it. Hold down your finger on the band until the menu comes up. Hit the running guy, and then hit the play button. When you stop exercising then hit the button again. It will calculate based on your time
Q: Water Resistant & Time to recharge?
A: The Vivosmart is water resistant. I have it on during showers and when I swim at the gym. I only take it off once a week for a couple hours to charge all the way. I haven't looked close enough to see how long it actually takes to charge, I just leave it connected a couple hours and it's done.
Q: so here is a question; i am a 5 9" male that plays tennis and cycling; what size shld i use?
A: According to the Garmin website: Small bands are for wrist sizes of 127mm to 172mm Large bands are for wrist sizes of 155mm to 221mm So in order to properly judge, you will need to measure your wrist. I can say that you more than likely will need the large though.
Q: Can you set alarms on this device?
A: The vivosmart does have an alarm feature.
