QuestionCan this model be mounted under cabinet? And if so what mounting kit do I need to get?

- Answer Hi David - GE® 0.7 Cu. Ft. Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven JES1072SHSS is intended for countertop use only. This model cannot be installed under a cabinet. We suggest GE Profile™ 1.1 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave Oven PEM31SFSS or GE® 0.7 Cu. Ft. Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven JEM3072SHSS. These two models are compatible with Undercabinet Hanging Kit JXA019K (sold separately). QuestionI have a cabinet space that will be 18"D x 20"W x 15"H. I will have about 4.8" space on top and 5.25" in back. Will it be safe & vent properly if I have 1.25" on each side (instead of the recommended 3"). Are there vents on both sides and on the back?

- Answer Hi Kim- The recommended clearances are 3 inches on each side, 3 inches on the top, and 1 inch in the rear. Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. If you have additional clearances on the top (4.8:) and back (5.25"), 1.25" on each side should be sufficient. While it varies, on most, vents are generally on one side and back. QuestionCan the clock be turned off

- Answer While there is no direct way to turn the clock off, we found that if we trip the bresker (old house) the display will read pF for “power failure” when we turn the power back on. If we just don’t set the clock, but continue to use the oven normally, the display remains blank. Perhaps this is just our oven, but we like not having the bright light from the display on all the time.

QuestionWhat does the plug look like? My cabinet is just over 12" and the outlet is at the back. I had a GE Profile with a flat plug that just fit. Would this one fit as well?

- Answer Hi Ronn- GE® 0.7 Cu. Ft. Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven JES1072SHSS is designed for use on the counter. We do not recommend installing in a tight space, like a cabinet. Countertop Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. We suggest 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. QuestionThis unit has a small cardboard card mounted on the right side inside the cavity, just beyond the light. This card is secured by a small screw and tabs that fit into slots. Is this supposed to be removed?

QuestionWhat is the exterior dimension from back of microwave to the 2 front feet? I have a shelf depth of 12 inches. Currently I have GE model JES738WH 001 and that works.

- Answer I don't think it will work... while the unit itself measures 11.5 in depth, the back sticks out and needs another 1.5, so 13 inches total is what you need for depth.

QuestionThe space that we need to put it in is a bit shorter than 12 inches but if this model has no feet it can hang out as our last GE microwave did.

- Answer Hi Ally- The microwave is equipped with feet. The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the counter or shelf to avoid accidental tipping. QuestionOk. Bought this model microwave oven on Sunday, 4-08-18 Got it home, set the clock and tried to use the unit. after 1st using it with out any thing inside the oven. I pushed the number 1 and the unit came on for 1 minute. Put something in the oven

- Answer All the GE microwaves I have have that quick set feature. I usually use add 30 minutes to vary the whole minute settings.
