A:AnswerNathanE must think he is clever. He must not realize that even cooking with a pan that has a non stick coating can be dangerous if you have bird in your home. GE’s website has more information about the chemicals that are used in their products. Hope that helps!
A:AnswerThe answer from GE answers is incorrect. I just installed this today and the mounting holes from the cabinet above are different. The left one is at least 3 inches different compared to the JVM3160DF3WW that you would have. The mounting bracket did still work for me though.
A:AnswerHello - We appreciate your interest and we are happy to help! Although we no longer make your model, we do have a variety of great new models available. We normally do not suggest an exact replacement because all of our 30" Spacemaker over-the-range microwaves are designed to be installed in the same standard upper cabinet space (30" min. width, 12" min.-13" max. depth, 66” min mounting height). Any of our new models will work in your current space. While you can choose any model as a replacement, the most comparable model is JVM3160DFWW. Thanks for checking. We appreciate your loyalty! A:AnswerSince we’re replacing a 36 in GE over the range microwave, can you help us in which GE over the range microwave would work that has a filler kit to accommodate this custom space?
A:AnswerHello there! Thanks for your question and loyalty to our microwaves. We're sorry that your old unit is no longer working. We see how this can be frustrating. We found that this model, model number JNM3163RJSS, is recirculating and would be a good replacement for your current microwave. We hope this helps! Emily@GEA

A:AnswerHello Tiger - Thank you for being part of the GE Appliances family all these years. Model JVM3160RFSS would make a wonderful replacement for your current unit. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are designed to fit in the same space. For features, they are very similar. Model JVM3160RFSS will have slightly more wattage and a 1" larger turntable. Let us know if you have any more questions. - John@GEA
A:AnswerU need to measure the available space dimensions such as length, height, and depth. The GE microwave I have is like this:
Length : 30 inches
Height : 15.5 inches
Depth : 15 inches
Match the space and then choose the model accordingly.
A:AnswerHello Motherbear123,
We appreciate you reaching out and for your continued loyalty in using GE appliances. We'll be happy to help you find a replacement. All our over-the-range microwaves are designed to fit into a 30" cabinet opening. This makes choosing a replacement a breeze. Please note however, that you will need to use the mounting kit that comes with the model. This is because the kit is made specifically for that model. One such model is JNM7196SKSS. We do hope this is helpful. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
A:AnswerHi there, thanks for reaching out! We would not recommend attempting to change a fuse on your own. If you're experiencing issues with your microwave in regards to the power, we would recommend reaching out to our service department for further assistance. We hope that this helps. Stay safe.
