A:AnswerTrick question! An over the range microwave doesn’t go into a “housing”. It has lights and filters on the bottom that should not be blocked. A:AnswerAlmost all of your microwaves except for certain microwaves that are special ordered have a standard of 30 in wide. That being said there's about a 98% chance that the new microwave will be the same width as your current microwave therefore you should be able to use the current spacers as well. The only thing that may change is the mounting bracket that is currently melted on the wall behind here microwave.
