We offer GE® 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven JVM3160DFCC in bisque. If you are interested in stainless, Model JVM7195SKSS is also a great choice. Q: QuestionWe have model JVM 7195EK1ES. The panel has quit working there’s power to the outlet but it will not come on. the light nothing. It is dead. It worked fine just a few hours before. Does it have a fuse somewhere?

• A:Answer Hi Kim - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE. We are sorry to hear your microwave JVM7195EK1ES is no longer working and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We suggest resetting the electronics by unplugging (outlet generally in upper cabinet) or turning off power at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds or so. While microwaves have an internal fuse, it is not consumer replaceable. It could be one of many components. For safety reasons, we offer no do-it-yourself repair advice on microwave ovens due to high voltage (capacitor hold a high voltage charge even after it has been unplugged), complexity of electronic circuitry and special equipment needed to make diagnosis. • A:Answer My 82 year old husband & I (80) did it. Hardest part was raising it up to hook over the bracket on the wall. Used the bracket already on the wall from the old oven, same brand now 14 years old.

• A:Answer Hi Singer2190 - We certainly appreciate your loyalty! Yes, Model JVM7195SKSS is a great replacement choice for your current model PVM2070SM1SS. The Melt pad is located under the Popcorn pad near the top below the display. Melt allows for worry-free melting of butter, caramel, chocolate and marshmallows. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. Also, when replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. Also, the cooktop light is located front center, between the left and right grease filters. Q: QuestionI have a GE JVM1870SF02 model with recirculating venting. I would to know what GE Model can replace. Also, there is a vent flap on the top face of the microwave that opens when the fan is operating. Does the replacement model have this?

Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven PVM9215SKSS and GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195SKSS (Model JNM7196SKSS is the same as JVM7195SKS except factory-assembled for recirculating). All models can be converted to recirculating. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. Q: QuestionWhy can I not get this microwave to pop a simple bag of microwave popcorn? It’s the same brand I’ve used for years, and in this microwave, it barely pops and is unevenly cooked. Is there something I am missing? I have never had an issue like this.

When using the Popcorn automatic feature, the package should be between 2 and 3.5 ounces. If the package is not in this range, please follow the instructions on the packaging. If you find that the brand of popcorn you use under pops or overcooks consistently, you can add or subtract 20-30 seconds to the automatic popping time. • A:Answer Hi - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195SKSS. We are happy to provide assistance with the filters. Press the Reset Filter pad on the control panel for 3 seconds to reset the filter light. This model is equipped with optional charcoal filter WB06X10807. If the model is not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through this disposable charcoal filter that helps remove smoke and odors. If this model is vented outdoors, the charcoal filter is not necessary. Note: The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned. It must be replaced when it is noticeably dirty or discolored (usually after 6 to 12 months, depending on usage). This model also has reusable metal grease filters underneath. The vent filters should be cleaned once a month, or as needed. There is not a filter light for these grease filters.
