This over-the-range microwave does has the option for recirculating (non-vented ductless) ventilation. It would require the use of a Charcoal Filter Kit, which is included in the purchase of the microwave. We're glad to answer your question. It is recommended to have at minimum 30" from the top of the stove to the bottom of the cabinet. The microwave have a height of 16 5/6". If you subtract the 30 from the 16 5/6, then at minimum the distance from the bottom of the microwave to the stove will be 13 1/6". Depending on your setup it could be different. We hope this helps. A:AnswerHi - We have wonderful news. All of our over-the-range style microwaves fit in a 30" wide opening. We do recommend using the installation hardware and mounting bracket that is included with the new model. Your existing model is a 2.1 cubic foot capacity with sensor cooking functions.
