Hi Roy1 - Thanks for choosing GE Model GUD27ESSMWW! We are sorry to hear the washer is loud and apologize for any concern or inconvenience this has caused. Be certain the foam shipping pads were removed. Also, keep the leg extension at minimum to prevent excessive vibration. The farther out legs are extended, the more the unit will vibrate. We suggest viewing pages 2 and 17 of the Installation Guide here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-16781-3.pdf - We suggest viewing videos at the following link - UNITIZED WASHER NORMAL SOUNDS: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=36011 - Any other sounds may require a technician for an accurate diagnosis. To schedule service online visit: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm - We hope this is helpful. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to ask. We are also happy to help at GEAppliances.com! Sue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine is relatively quiet. Further investigation into your unit is warranted.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the unit was installed recently, verify that the shipping rod was removed from the washer unit. I had to remove that shipping rod by myself because on the first use the unit started to make some squeaking noises, not good at all. The installation crew didn't remove it. After I removed the rod, the washer keep working fine. Where is located the shipping rod? Look for a red tape at the right side of the unit. Remove the tape, then the rod, which is very long. Be careful, the instructions says that the unit could be damaged if used with the shipping rod in place, but if it was left by the installation crew it's their fault.
