||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.The entire purchasing process went exceptionally well, from ordering to delivery and finally to setup by the Best Buy team! I could not be happier!! Both the washer and dryer do a terrific job. I don't find the washer noisy at all (an online complaint)!! And it fits perfectly in my utility room. These units are a big purchase so I was a little nervous about choosing the right unit, but you can't go wrong with a GE product.

||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Had to send back it didn’t fit in the space. They were very nice about everything. If they sent the second crew instead of the first. I wouldn’t have had to send it back twice and I wouldn’t have to get a plumber which was an extra expense and didn’t do the job right. Not Best Buy fault. The plumbers fault. Everything had to be done quickly since I was going to the hospital for surgery. So in short I had to fix old machine and thank God that worked, because I really really needed it. I will definitely use Best Buy again. Stand up company. But will never use that plumber. Live and learn. Plumber came highly recommended. Not up to my standards.

Great washer dryer combo
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Bought this open box. I think 850. Had it installed. Install guys awesome!!!!!! Frickin hard install and they nailed it. Up two flights? No prob. Squeeze into the room? No prob. Stuck in the laundry? Squeezes out like a tube of toothpaste. Great job guys. Tipped 20 bucks each. Awesome!!

Fit our needs

- A:Answer Hi Krnhny13- Unitized washer dryer units only have one power cord. There is not a separate cord for the washer and the dryer. Electric models should be connected to a dedicated 240V or 208V 30-amp time-delay fuse or circuit breaker. The 240/208V will power the dryer, and the unit internally steps it down to 110/120V for the washer. The power cord should be purchased separately. Thanks for choosing GE! SUE@GEA

Q: QuestionPer the side view photo on the GE web site, the back of the dryer is farther back than the back of the washer so with side venting, the back of the machine can be against the back wall. Is this correct ? If yes, is it 30.87 " to the washer front?

- A:Answer Hi HerbK- On GUD27 unitized washer/dryer units, the dryer is deeper in the rear than the washer. The overhang is 4" past the back panel of the washer, which means it sticks out past the vent, electrical, and plumbing connections. The dryer can sit up against a wall without adding any extra depth to the unit. This provides space for the connections in the rear. Because of this overhang, the unit does not need knockouts to vent to the left or right side. The vent elbow can be turned left, right, or down as needed. Q: QuestionIs the agitator suppose to go slow. I bought this and it is agitating very slow. It doesnt seem right.

- A:Answer Hi Jaye - Many top-load washers have a "traditional" agitator. It has spiral fins that turn through the water during the wash cycle. This action moves the water, which in turn moves the clothes down against the agitator into the water and up the sides of the washer. The slow movement is normal and gentle on clothes. Q: QuestionI live in a condo and the dryer vent must be on the left side. This unit does not have knockouts to place the vent on the left. Can I have someone cut a hole on the left section where there is usually a knockout so that I can vent it on the left?

The dryer drum is DuraDrum which is a galvanized steel drum that is double coated with tough polyester paint and backed with a stainless steel rear.
