“I just got my new GE Spacemaker tonight and when I start a load to wash it will fill with water, start the cycle, and then just shut off. Has anyone else had this problem?”

We have not experienced that. I would call GE about that
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Jen, We're sorry to hear about your washer shutting down. It could be possible that your unit is tripping the breaker that it is connected to. It is important to make sure that the unit is connected to a 30 amp circuit. Also, there being a few pauses in the cycle is normal to see, the washer will incorporate brief periods of soaking between agitation to help loosen up stains. However, if you're finding that your unit completely turns off as the wash cycle starting to initiate, then this could be a circuit issue. If you are finding that, after disconnecting power, waiting for a minute or two, and then reconnecting power, you are still unable to complete a wash cycle, we would recommend reaching out to our service department for further assistance.
