“Brand new gud24essm1ww, test ran the dryer for the very first time, the drum squeals extremely loud. I saw no additional instructions for removing of shipping security for the dryer, have I missed something?”

Hi there - Some start-up squeak is normal. The sound should go away after the first few seconds of operation. If the sound continues, we recommend you contact service. You can reach us directly via the GE Appliances website or social media. We hope this helps. -Gina@GEA
