My dryer does get hot and it dries a load of clothes, bed linens or towels in much less than 90 minutes. More like 40 minutes. I just set the dryer dial to "optimum" and it seems to work perfectly.

The unit requires a 240V or 208V single-phase 60 Hz electrical service and should be protected by 30-amp time-delay fuses or circuit breaker. The dryer heaters will not operate on 120V. See Installation Guide: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-16781-3.pdf - If properly installed, a qualified service technician is required for an accurate diagnosis.
