“I’m confused by the depth requirements. If there is a 4 inch space with the overhang, why do you need additional space to side vent. Will the dryer still be up against the wall? I only have 31” of depth but probably can’t make it fit if I need 34”.”

Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize for the confusion. For side venting, 3 additional inches of room depth are needed versus the unit depth shown in the specifications. The vent needs to go down first and then to the left or to the right. Consequently, you will need 34" of depth overall which includes the elbow needed to side vent.
