A:AnswerHello, there. We're sorry to read that your washer leaked water. Oh, no! We understand how bothersome this may be and would like to offer help. To troubleshoot, check to see if the gasket is seated and not torn. Objects left in pockets may cause damage to the washer (nails, screws, pens,
pencils) Water may drip from the door when the door is opened. This is a normal operation. Carefully wipe off the rubber door seal. Sometimes dirt or clothing is left in this seal and can cause a leak. Make sure the hose connections are tight at washer and faucets and make sure the end of the drain hose is correctly inserted in and secured to the drain facility. It is important to use only HE and the correct amount of detergent. We hope this information helps, but if needed our service department is available at 1-800-432-2737 or by clicking here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm, and would be more than happy to assist.- Kianna@GEA
A:AnswerHi there! Thank you so much for the question. We would be happy to answer this one for you. The only model of ventless dryer that we currently sell is the GFT14ESSMWW model, which only can be stacked with the GFW148SSMWW washer with the GFA24KITL stacking kit. Unfortunately for the GFW550SSNWW model washer you mentioned, there are no compatible ventless dryers that would be able to be stacked with it. We hope this helps, and please feel free to reach out with any additional questions you may have! -Elliot@GEA
A:AnswerYou can request them to remove the old washer and dryer when they install the new one. If you are purchasing the items online, there will be an option to add the removal. I do believe there was a small fee associated it.
A:AnswerHi - Thank you for reaching out to us. The warranty that accompanies each GE appliance specifically states that the warranty does not cover the failure of the product when “used commercially” as opposed to a residential setting. However, to determine what is “commercial or business use” can be difficult and therefore, we must look more closely at how the appliance is being used and the frequency of such use. Please reach out to us on Social so we can discuss this further. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerHello - Thanks for reaching out, this is a great question. This model washer requires a minimum clearance of 0" on either side. Additional clearances can be found on page 19 in the owner's manual. We're glad that you checked! -Mikayla@GEA
A:AnswerHello- We appreciate your question and are happy to help! The riser used for the above washer is GFR0728SNWW. If you've confirmed your previous washer is the same exact size as this new one, the screw holes should be in the same location and be fine. However, we would recommend confirming. If you have your previous washer model number available we can see which riser you have. The model will be under the lid or on the back of the washer. Typically this would be part of installation, but we recommend verifying with your sales associate that they can install this for you. If you'd like us to research this further, please reach out to us via a private message on Social Media. Thank you! Joyce@GEA
A:AnswerHey there, and thanks for taking the time to reach out to us. We sincerely hate to hear you've had an issue, especially after only a couple months. We know this would be concerning and would like to help. If the water is actually leaking from the unit, there are multiple troubleshooting steps you can try. Full troubleshooting information is available in the manual, but here are a few possible fixes: You may want to check that there is no damage to the door gasket, that it is properly seated and not torn at all – if it is, leaking may be possible. You can also check the back left of the washer – if that area is wet, there may be an issue with oversudsing and you should use less detergent. If you have already checked the hoses they may not be the issue, but hose connections should be tight at the washer and faucets, and the end of the drain hose should be correctly inserted and secured. If the above troubleshooting does not help resolve the concern, our service department can be reached at 1-800-432-2737. They would be glad to help, and we're also happy to assist if you have other concerns or questions. Wishing you all the best! -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerHello Michael. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question about this washer and I think you meant delicate cycle. When selecting a delicates cycle then it automatically uses a low spin speed. You can change that to medium if you choose so that it spins faster and removes more moisture. Under the delicates cycle this would be normal if low spin speed is used. Hope this helps and welcome to our family. Geoff@GEA
A:AnswerHi there, and thanks for reaching out to us about this front load washer! If you are referring to running the UltraFresh Vent option after the wash is complete, during that cycle the door will lock and the washer will intermittently spin at low speeds for up to 8 hours. This cycle is meant to stop excess moisture and prevent odors from developing, and may work best as an overnight cleaning cycle. We hope this information helps, and are happy to assist with any other concerns. We wish you all the best! -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerHi there, thank you for taking the time to reach out to this. The washer should be placed on a solid and level floor. The unit should drain without issue this way, so you will not need to install it with a downward tilt. We hope that's the information you needed and we're wishing you the best. - Guy@GEA
