A:AnswerHello, thank you for your question. This washer will fit in a universal washer tray/pan. The bottom, without the curve at the front, measures approximately 24.25"D x 28"W. The distance between the legs may actually provide you with a better idea about whether the washer will fit your existing pan. The center-point of the feet are approximately 26" apart from left to right, and approximately 23" from the front to the back. We hope this helps! Please feel free to reach out with any further questions or concerns you may have. -Chris@GEA
A:AnswerHi there - thanks for reaching out. We're sorry that you're experiencing an issue with the water in your front load washer and we want to help. If water is not entering the washer, you'll see a Consumer Help Indicator message that reads "H20 SUPPLY." If this is the case, we suggest checking your house water supply. It's possible that one or both water supply valves have not been turned on after installation or coming back from vacation. Additionally, we recommend running the washer through a complete cycle and checking for wet/damp clothes at the end to make sure it is working properly. If the issue persists, please reach out to use via social media so that we can easily dialogue with you and resolve the problem. We hope this is helpful. Be well, Kelsey@GEA

A:AnswerHello,
Thank you for reaching out. A washer is not limited in practical terms by the pounds or weight of clothes it can wash. It is limited by the volume of clothes that can be put in the machine. Ex. A down comforter can fill the entire machine but weigh very little, while blue jeans are heavy but is typically a smaller load. You can find load capacity examples in the user manual. Stay safe! A:AnswerHi - thanks for reaching out! In order to make this stackable, you need to order a stacking kit for dryer-over-washer. The part number for the kit you need is #GFA28KITN. For your measurements, keep in mind that stacked, the height will be 79-1/2” (with the leveling legs retracted). We hope this helps! All the best, Kelsey@GEA

A:AnswerHi there! Thanks for asking, we can understand wanting to check on this. It is normal operation to see detergent leak on door gasket about 20 seconds after filling the dispenser. - For yellowed clothing, we'd recommend taking a look at the top of page 30 of your use and care manual. There are some troubleshooting tips for yellowed or grayed clothing that you can try. There is also an article on our website titled "WASHERS - YELLOWED CLOTHES" that you may find helpful as well. A:AnswerHello - You've asked a great question, and we're happy to help! The GFW550SPNDG washer is a belt and pulley driven system with no transmission. One belt runs from the motor for both agitating and spinning the tub. We hope this helps! Please reach out if you need anything. Best wishes. - Sharon@GEA
A:AnswerHello,
Good question! We'd like to thank you for choosing GE Appliances. It's a pleasure having your business and we're excited to help. We do not recommend stacking two different brands or models. Each stackable model has a corresponding washer/dryer. Not having the appropriate models stacked could cause your warranty to be nulled if the appliance is damaged. If you have any more concerns please let us know. Take care!

A:AnswerHello there! We appreciate your question. We found that the dimensions of your laundry room, if the units are not being stacks, would need to be 39 3/4" H x 56" W x 32" D. If you are wanting to stack the units, the dimensions would need to be 79 1/2" H x 28" W x 32" D. Since the units put side by side are 56", this may be a very tight fit in that space. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at our social pages. We hope this helps! Emily@GEA

A:AnswerI stacked the dryer on top of the washer with the optional stacking kit, and was able to push it into a closet. It was challenging, but I took my time and managed. Here’s a tip to make it easier. The documentation suggests using a 2x4 if the stacked pair needs to be “lifted” on to a drain pan. So I put a 1x6 piece of scrap wood, about 12” long under the front edge of the washer, and it tilts the pair on a slight angle so the rear feet are riding on it’s edge and not fully flat. The washer feet are made out of some type of rubberized material and is a big sticky. The documentation suggests spraying window cleaner on the floor to help with sliding the washer. I used a wet swiffer, but I’m not sure if it made any difference. Also, using the 1x6 helps to lift the washer just enough to adjust the front feet for leveling. When pulling the pair out, I use those orange straps for moving furniture. Just hook it around the front feet, and don’t forget the scrap wood.
A:AnswerHi Bob, thanks for your question! The new Ultrafresh washers and dryers are only meant to be stacked with each other; they have a unique stacking it. So you would not be able to stack a new Ultrafresh model with an older laundry unit. We hope this helps. Stay safe. -Michael@GEA
