Hello there - We're happy to offer some insight here. The Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for washer water usage and over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. We hope this is helpful! Let us know if you have any other questions - we're always glad to assist. All the best, Kesley@GEA
