“Any special installment requirements for this washer and electric dryer set (I currently use a gas dryer)? May I initially use this washer/dryer without "APP" i.e. Internet access-modem-router and then connect to "APP" later if i change my mind?”

Yep it runs fine without the app. The only thing you lose is the ability for the washer to sync with the dryer if you don’t connect it to the wifi. When they are connected the washer tells the dryer how long to drying whatever it just cleaned. Take the guessing out.
