Great question Yanky116! The 3 wire model will work however it is strongly urged that if you have neutrals to use the 4 wire as the neutral wires help regulate voltage to the fixture. If you need any more info please reach out at 1-844-302-2943 or [email protected]. -C by GE Support

Please try again later.I was sent the no-neutral version when I ordered the 4 wire version (another online site) and it does work when I have the white neutral (obviously there's no wire to hook to it with the 3 wire version) *but* every LED bulb I tried flashed on every few seconds when the switch was off. When on, it worked fine. But obviously flashing the bulb when off is not cool. I tried at least 7 different brands of dimmable & non-dimmable LED bulb & they all did the same thing. Setting bulb type in app didn't matter. I tried an old-school incandescent bulb & that stopped. I'm guessing the LED bulbs didn't put enough load when off for the switch to work but who knows for sure. I just know what happened here.
