Can I plug this in the extension cord? null

I'm not sure what is recommended, but I would suggest that you plug the Smart Switch plug into the outlet, then plug your extension cord into the Smart Switch.

This C by GE smart plug connected directly to a wall outlet would be preferable however they can work in an extension cord but may need to be paired to the app while connected to a wall outlet first and then moved over.
