Description

The On/Off Cync Smart Plug makes any lamp or device that plugs into a wall outlet smart. The built-in WiFi bridge adds out-of-home control for your lighting and devices and voice control when paired with a voice assistant. The plug also enables scheduling and scene setting to traditional bulbs and devices. The Smart Plug adds smart functionality to fixtures where smart bulbs won't fit or match the look of the fixture. Pair the Smart Plug with Cync or C by GE Smart Bulbs in other fixtures and Cync Smart Switches to control all your lights together. Use the Smart Plug with other devices like curling irons, fans and electronic devices to turn them on or off remotely or schedule them to operate around your routine. The Smart Plug connects directly with Google Home and Amazon Alexa devices (sold separately) - no hub required. Simply plug into a standard wall socket and you're ready to go.

Very easy to set up. I've had a few different brands of smart plugs and these were by far the simplest to get connected. I will stick with this brand for all plugs and devices going forward.

It work excellent, I had problem to conect the Christmas tree, and I saw that plug in one visit the store I brought it the best decision I made. Some time I’m going on bed and I just open the app and turn of or say to Alexa .

So this is my first time ever buying smart plugs and I’m glad I did. The process to set up is quite easy. All I had to do was plug it into an outlet and connect it to my Amazon device. I absolutely loved this purchase that I had to get a second one.

Use this device to turn on and off a light with the Google Home app. Device connects to the home Wifi and phone can be connected to any network, Wifi or mobile network/5G, so I can turn on and off a light even when I am not home.

Purchased item two weeks ago and so far good. I wanted to be able to control my fan without having to get and turn it on or off through the night. I was able to connect the item directly with the Alexa app and not having to download the C app without any issues. Set the routine and it works. Tried to upload video but there was not an option. I rated a 3 for value only because there are plugs that come two in a pack for the same price as this one pack, but I had already purchased this one.

QuestionHow many light bulbs can you connect to one plug to work as the cross between to Alexa? And does the plug have to be close to where the lights are being used? Thank you!

- Answer Ultimately I ended up with 8 lights connected via WiFi through the bridge. You may be able to add more but I haven't yet. As long as it's within 20-30 feet of your first bulb and your first bulb is within 20-30 feet of the next, etc then you should be fine. They create a Bluetooth mesh network where one device acts as an extended to the next. There is a small amount of additional latency for every step though. My furthest bulb was in a closet through 3 poured concrete walls about 90' from the bridge. However I had another light in my bedroom lamp about 10' and 1 doorway away from that closet...and then another hallway light 15-20' from the bedroom light etc. It all worked fine and they responded to voice commands within a second or 2.

QuestionWould this smart plug work for a window ac unit. I have a very lo tech window unit that needs to be manually switched on and off and was hoping to get a smart plug so it auto turns on during the hottest times of the day. Voltage of the ac unit is 115V

QuestionCan you dim lights with these? If so, can you set it on a schedule so that a light will dim then turn off?
