Ultimately I ended up with 8 lights connected via WiFi through the bridge. You may be able to add more but I haven't yet. As long as it's within 20-30 feet of your first bulb and your first bulb is within 20-30 feet of the next, etc then you should be fine. They create a Bluetooth mesh network where one device acts as an extended to the next. There is a small amount of additional latency for every step though. My furthest bulb was in a closet through 3 poured concrete walls about 90' from the bridge. However I had another light in my bedroom lamp about 10' and 1 doorway away from that closet...and then another hallway light 15-20' from the bedroom light etc. It all worked fine and they responded to voice commands within a second or 2.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So far I’ve only used the plug to control my Christmas tree. Works flawlessly. I have c by ge bulbs everywhere else and also works great. The key is to name them all the same if more than one being used in one area. Like if you have four bulbs in a chandelier create a group name called chandelier but each bulb named bulb 1,2,3,4 and put them in the chandelier group.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The plug does have to be in the same room with the bulbs. You might be able to also connect a neighboring room if plugged into the wall between them, but I'm not sure. As far as I know, there is no limit to how many bulbs can be bridged with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. At least 4. Yes at least 40 feet away from the plug
